Merels — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 August 2026

Merels is a single-player Nine Men's Morris puzzle game. We keep your data footprint as small as we can. This policy explains what the app handles.

What we store

Your game progress — puzzle results, streaks, statistics and settings — is stored on your device and, if you're signed in to iCloud, synced privately through your own iCloud account so it follows you to a new device or after a reinstall. We do not run accounts of our own and we never upload your progress to our servers.

Daily puzzle

The daily puzzle is generated on your device from the date, so everyone plays the same board without the app sending anything about you to us. The app has no accounts and no sign-in.

Advertising

Merels shows ads through Google AdMob. To do this, AdMob may process a device advertising identifier and related data to serve and measure ads. On first launch the app asks, via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether you permit tracking; you see the same number of ads either way. You can review Google's practices in the Google Privacy Policy, and you can disable personalised ads in your device's privacy settings. Merels Premium removes ads entirely.

Purchases

Optional in-app purchases (Merels Premium) are handled by Apple. We never see or store your payment details.

Children

Merels is a general-audience game and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
